Sharona holds a BS in Accounting and a BS in Management Information Systems from Syracuse University, but the story only begins there. Her work started with product management for a young software company at the dawn of the Web era, and continued globally: addressing financial reconciliation for SmithKline Beecham and African Explosive Chemicals in Johannesburg, launching application business products in Russia and Eastern Europe, and integrating financial and inventory systems in Milano. Smith's deep understanding of financial systems and corporate structuring give her the ability to see “the big picture” while simultaneously managing, and maximizing, all its smaller components.

Her domestic experience includes corporate messaging, creation of best practices, and managing all aspects of internal communications and business systems. Most recently, Sharona acted as CFO and Vice President of a startup stock photography agency, helping it to achieve its sales goals two years ahead of schedule; upon that company's acquisition by Corbis, a privately-held media company, Sharona acted as consultant for the company's integration and creation of new initiatives.
